Is this possible?

message from Norock on 23 Jul 2004
I recently discovered, to my delight, that an HTML document can be made to be
one's background. I quickly whipped up a HTML document in DreamWeaver MX with
lots of links to favorite websites of mine as well as different programs on my
computer. However, the question I've got is if it is possible to make a Radio
Button sort of thing where you could choose which browser to open links in. So
like there would be a table with three radio buttons at the top, one for
AvantBrowser, one for Opera, and one for Firefox, and whichever radio button is
checked at the time of clicking on a link is the browser that would open with
the page displayed. I would love for that to be possible, but I'm not sure if
it is. I've got some good skills with basic HTML, but when it comes to things
like Forms and scripts and stuff I draw a blank. So, if anyone could help me,
it would be very appreciated.

Wow eh talk about a specific function. :)

I dont know how you would do this i have to say. I think it is going to be
very difficult , not impossible but difficult.

Not as much fun as you wanted but if you want to open files in different
browsers the way i do it is not with a web desktop but to edit the right click
menu and include open with opera ... open with IE... open woth FireFox... etc
it is quicker and it meens you can do it with any shortcut on your machine new/
old/ desktop/ obscure folder.

Another point i find the web desktop quirky and a little hard on resources
(obviously depending on your machine)

Dont know if this was any help but ......

Aww... that's somewhat dissapointing. However, I don't know how to edit the
right-click menu like you said. I think that would work for my needs, now I
just need to figure out how to do that. I know it's not exactly DreamWeaver
Forum material, but I'd appreciate if you could post some instructions on doing
that anyway! Thanks!
