Issue with a Nav Bar |
| message from maverickxx on 24 Jul 2004 |
Please help, the issue I have is I created a site from an Image, I broke it
down and made a table and put the image in it and added a nav bar at the
bottom. The problem is I want the color to change on mouse over, I tried using
the page properties in Dreamweaver, and also tried with CSS, but I cant get it
working right. I dont know if its becouse its a Image that I put up there with
pre-set colors, that I should remove in flash then add the colors in DW? Go to
www.Aqui-nobhill.com to see what I am working on. Also its a real slow when
someone goes to the sight, can you help with that.
Thanks for the help and your time.
Maverickxx.

Your page is entirely composed of a single PNG image (750K).
This is a) the reason your page loads slowly - that's nearly 80 seconds on a
56k dialup, b) you have no interactivity (it's a single image).
Don't use PNG images on the web unless you have explicitly exported them as
8 bit images, and to make interactivity as you are describing you will need
to do more than place an image on the page.
I don't quite know where to start you out here. But try reading this
tutorial on how to do image rollovers -
