I feel so stupid

message from Bernzy on 24 Jul 2004
Hi everyone, I am new to the dreamweaver 2004 MX and so far I really like it.
I am taking over a huge web project and making changes to about 8 existing
pages within the site. The site is written with includes, which are stored in
a seperate include directory. After I create a site definition the site loads
fine on the right hand side, I can see the pages fine in design view and code
view but when I hit F12 to view in a web page I only see the parts that are not
rendered by includes. Any thoughts on what I am missing? or did I even make
this understandable...

thanks
Dawn

Your browser will render HTML code just fine; however, you need a
webserver for it to recognize the includes. Either upload to your
hosting environment, or set up a web server on your box, or set up a
testing server.
