I find that its "findObject" function finds the first object with the id
or name of the first parameter. I'd like it to check that if there are
objects with the same name/id, to issue a warning.
What do you think?

Could always turn him over and check the manufacturer label.
It's pretty much the only way to be sure. ;o)
Careful not to remove the label though, as that voids the warranty.
