IE Internet Explorer won't REload page after Drea |
| message from sumpin else on 16 Jul 2004 |
This is a weird problem to me. It only happens with some websites I work on in
Dreamweaver, but not all of them. I make a change in the HTML code, save it,
and CNTRL-U to publish it. Then I go to IE and reload the page and the
changes don't happen. When I go to Mozilla and reload, it reloads fine and my
changes are live.
Otherwise my IE works fine. It's just with SOME of the sites I work on in
Dreamweaver.
Also, this seems related, sometimes I make a change in the HTML in
Dreamweaver, and save it and then look at it on Design View and then go back to
Code view and the changes I just made are gone. I've experienced this when
there's a hidden template but I don't see one on this particular site.

OK, I think I figured this one out. Problem with "cache folder". Somehow,
maybe I moved or renamed the "local" (ie desktop) folder associated with the
website? Then Dreamweaver created another folder, and the files were sort of
"mirrored". But very strange behavoir -- I open one file and then it saves to
another? I don't get it. But now it works because I changed the cache folder
in the properties....
