HTML Emails in Outlook Express 5 (Mac) |
| message from CreativePortal on 15 Jul 2004 |
I created an HTML file in Dreamweaver with the intention of using it as an
email. I thought that it would be as easy as copying & pasting the source code
into the email's source code, but Outlook Express 5 for Mac doesn't allow you
to manually edit source code. It also doesn't have an Import Text from File
option or Send Pictures setting. Drag and drop results in attachments only and
there is no Insert Pictures setting. I've been looking around the Internet for
some instructions but always end up at a dead end because of the discrepancies
between Mac and PC versions of Outlook Express. The closest solution I found
was modifying account options (in a tutorial designed for Entourage), but that
seems to produce extremely random results (works for some, comes up as code
just as often). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Outlook Express on the Mac can't send HTML email imported from elsewhere.
I think Mail.App might be able to, though.
