message from Percival Prim on 20 Jul 2004
Looking for some good Form2Email scripts. Been using the same one for a
while so i'm hoping there might be something better out there now. Any
recommendations?

Before going any further or taking any recommendations I would suggest:

I suggest that if you have a form mailer script/plugin that is working and
you have no indication that it has been hijacked by spammers or that it is
vulnerable to email address harvesters, then stick with what you have.

Reason: Most of the older form mailers have been around long enough to have
been hacked and debugged to the point that they are pretty bulletproof.
OTOH, very few of the form mailers to ever be released have been
spammer-proof from the very beginning. It takes trial by fire.

If you go with a newer form mailer, make sure that it has been around a
while and established a good track record. Otherwise, you might be letting
your clients in for a big surprise, like being cut off by their ISP, for
sending spam that they didn't send or suddenly being on every spammers list,
themselves. Neither is fun and you don't want something like that traced
back to a decision that you made.
