Extension Manager CAN'T FIND DWMX 2004 OSX |

I have DW 2004 installed on a drive not the boot drive in OSX and ExMgr
can't seem to find it and refuses to install extensions. This didn't use to
be a problem, but I've had to use HOTFIX twice on Fireworks to get the
program to startup. I have the current EM version.
Any suggestions???

If I start up DW before EM, EM crashes on startup:

In order to get EM to recognize DWMX 2004 in OSX, I had to copy the entire
program from a non-boot drive to the boot drive. This is STUPID. It
requires me to activate the program on two drives. That is STUPID.
It makes me think the Authentication service is a dangerous problem, not
protecting the company from unauthorized use but impairing the user from
using the program in an orderly and logical way. Why must it be on the boot
drive, since as computer use grows, initial internal drives become too
small.
