Dual boot -- have to reactivate DW MX 2004 everytime

message from brewster on 21 Jul 2004
This may seem a little obscure but I have a dual boot Win Xp box. I
use one boot partition for development with IIS and Visual Studio.Net
/ ASP.Net with VB and the other for running PHP. I like the separation
of the two.

However, I do need to run DW MX though on both partitions. Everytime,
I boot to the other partition and start DW, I have to activate it
everytime. The activation is always accepted but it's a real drag to
have to do this every time.

I am thinking, there is probably no way around this considering that
the whole activation thing with Macromedia is so strict.

By comparison, Microsoft does not make me activate Windows XP
everytime I boot to the other partiton so it seems DW MX 2004 is not
"smart" enough...

(The two partitions are cloned with Acronis True Image, but then I
customized each for their own needs)
