Can't use FTP anymore in MX2004

I have previously connected and ftp'd my pages back and forth to my hosting
service. Starting yesterday, the FTP in Dreamweaver mx2004 on an Windows XP
machine will no longer connect. The specific message says "The connection to
the remote host has been lost, click refresh to reconnect". I have no idea what
"refresh" i'm supposed to click but I repeatedly try to connect with the same
error. I tried FTP through IE6 with the same net result. I did connect via
another FTP client, thus proving my FTP username and password are correct.

Any ideas as to what happened?? Connecting via dreamweaver was convenient and
I would prefer to continue using this FTP method. HELP!

You tell me. What has changed in your network environment since you last
connected? Firewall? Router? Norton Internet Security (ew!)?
