Copy Paste in OSX fails? Bug or protection? 2004MX

I find that when It try to copy a link, e.g., from a web page, or any other
type of text, I cannot paste it into the "replace" or find window of the
find and replace popup. I have to paste the text into a DW page and copy
from there to get it to work. Is this some kind of clipboard bug problem?
