2 Q's: table image/text and lost root folder |
| message from BirdPerson on 17 Jul 2004 |
Forgive, please, if I should not have 2 questions at once. I am a relatively
new user and have uploaded my first site, pelicanlife.org. In the file Site
Map, I have a table and an image sized to fit the table and text on top of the
image. Both the text and the image show on my desktop in both the DW view and
the browser views (IE and Moz. - I used Mac OS 9) But when I go to check it
actually online, the image is not there, only the text (and that's checking
also in OS 10.2.8, with IE, Moz., Safari.) What's causing this and how can I
have both text and image? I've read that with older browsers the image in a
table may not show up but it doesn't show up with any (Mac) browser that I've
tried.
Q2: I frequently get the message, "The local root folder (name of folder) does
not exist. Please choose a new local root folder from the Edit Sites dialog."
I've added a new site name, gone through the set up, eliminating the other ...
and for a few times, all's well and then I get the message again. Also, often
with it, a message that DW can't create a folder and it gives the addess of
where the folder already is on my desktop. Does anyone have any suggestions?
It's very frustrating ... and I begin to wonder, although it seems very
unlikely, whether it is a function of DW MX and maybe I should upgrade to MX
2004.
thank you!
Betsy
